Vacation Bible School – Great Again
VBS this year was a great success. We had about 40 children and about 20 adults and youth helping out.
Registration was from 12:30 – 1:00 pm and we concluded with a Family Dinner at starting at 6:00 pm. Our Theme this year was “Make a Joyful Noise” and we also learned about King David. There was singing, painting and other crafts. We gathered in the sanctuary for lessons and singing.
During the second week of August our youth, led by Jordan Herrmann and Mee Young Namkoong, journeyed to the Pamlico Sound area in Beaufort County to carry out some badly needed repair and construction work. Following are photos of the group working on a second deck at the disaster recovery camp, doing work at an old church recently turned over to the disaster recovery center for use, working on a home in Aurora, visiting downtown Little Washington, and sailing (for fun).
A Note from the Youth
WEUMC Youth would like to say “Thank You” for providing them with Sunday Evening Meals. The Youth really enjoy getting to know their Church Family! So if you would like to spend some time with them, come out on Sunday Evenings at 6:00 p.m. They would love to have you join them for a meal and fellowship! Jordan would enjoy getting to know you also. You know kids, we love Chicken, Pizza, Hot Dogs, Tacos, Sandwiches, McDonald’s Hamburgers, Spaghetti, Pasta, Chips and Dip! Please see sign up sheet in the Nartex.

A Special Ministry for Children!
Sunday Nights: 5:00-6:30
Children K-5th Grade
We will explore God’s Word through scripture, craft, games, and more.
We are looking for assistants for the Explorers program each Sunday night. Would you consider volunteering one or more Sundays a month? Assistants would help Jamie with the lesson and provide support for the children. Extra help is necessary for this program to continue to grow.
Youth Group meets each Sunday night from 6-7:30 pm. Please check our FaceBook page and email for special announcements and any changes.
